Young People's Society of Christian Endeavor: ca. 1890
ON OCTOBER 18, 1885, A CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOR SOCIETY WAS ORGANIZED AT PILGRIM CHURCH WITH THIRTY MEMBERS AND ONE ASSOCIATE. THIS WAS THE FIRST CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOR SOCIETY ORGANINZED IN DORCHESTER. THIS WAS ONLY FOUR YEARS AFTER THE FIRST CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOR SOCIETY WAS ORGANIZED IN PORTLAND, MAINE.
LATE IN 2012, IT WAS DECIDED TO RE-CREATE THE SOCIETY AT PILGRIM CHURCH FOR THE PURPOSE:
TO PROMOTE AN EARNEST CHRISTIAN LIFE AMONG ITS MEMBERS,
TO INCREASE THEIR MUTUAL ACQUAINANCESHIP,
AND TO MAKE THEM MORE USEFUL IN THE SERVICE OF GOD

The Christian Endeavor Memorial Window in our Chapel provided the inspiration to describe our fellowship as the "Christian Endeavor Society." In 2013, it was estimated that it would cost $10,000.00 to restore this window.
